The Kid

In 1933 Germany, Doron, a seven-year old mute child, doesn’t understand what is going on around him and escapes in the silent films of Charlie Chaplin that he watches with his father. As things begin to get worse for Doron and his family, he starts to manifest Mr. Chaplin in his own life and process all the he sees as if he were in Chaplin’s film THE KID. This drama finds free humor and perspective on the tragedy that was the Holocaust by telling the story of Doron and his family through film clips, dialogue, silence, movement, and a live piano player who accompanies the action on stage as if the audience were watching a silent film in the early 30s.
